How true, we all want to be loved the way we want, unfortunately its not always the way it should be!

There is a fabulous verse printed in Poor Robin’s Almanac in 1757 which reads…. “This month bright Phoebus enters Pisces, The Maids will have good store of kisses, for always when the fun comes there, Valentine’s Day is drawing near, and both the men and maids incline to chuse them each a valentine; And if a man gets one he loves, he gives her first a pair of gloves; and, by the way remember this, to seal the favour with a kiss”.

St Valentine lived in the year 270 and died as a Roman martyr priest. It is said that the first valentine’s gift given was actually sent by the priest himself to the daughter of his jailer with whom he had fallen in love.

I find it quite fascinating that Valentine’s Day is such an old tradition. The Christian church chose February 14th as the day to honour Saint Valentine who is considered to be the patron of lovers and the helper of those who are unhappy in love!

It is also believed that Valentine’s Day is the day when birds begin their mating! (coo coo) Maybe its time to treat your loved one and tell them how much they mean to you!

Well, we’re back from our cruise which my husband won through work with Royal Caribbean.  I have to say what an amazing time we have had.  We’ve met some fabulous people, ate fantastic food and enjoyed the best entertainment ever.

Back to reality now though (no more being treated like royalty and having my bed made everyday with towel animals waiting for me at night!) and Christmas is just around the corner.  Aaagghhhhh!

I have read some absolutely great reviews regarding Royal Caribbean and nobody seems to be able to say anything bad which is good!  Our holiday is totally paid for apart from booze and excursions and I am really looking forward to being able to tell you all about it when we get back!

We are all forever being told that we should exercise more, eat less and keep our BMI down to reasonable levels….

I never really worried too much about it until I asked my husband to buy me a Wii Fit Balance Board for my birthday!  Boy, was I in for a shock.

I’m not the slimmest of people (definite exaggeration!) and have always struggled with my weight.  In the past I have been known to loose 6 stone and went from 16.5 stones down to 10.5 stones.  I’m not doing too bad at present but did find myself back up to top side of 14 when I received my birthday present!

I had no more excuses, the Wii Fit Plus & Board is the perfect way to have fun and achieve your fitness goals without even having to go out!

I’ve spent a few days out of the office this week! 

I have been up to Newcastle Upon Tyne (4 hour drive for me!) to attend a meeting for WSW Network with my friend & colleague Karen Rutter with whom I involved with this project.

Dont know about you but hasnt it come round quick.  Or is it that the shops just bring it around alot quicker!

I’ve been looking at doing a lot of my christmas shopping online and spending some time trying to find the bargains.  I have a four year old little boy who is into everything from Ben 10 to Dinosaurs to Pirates so shopping for him is quite a challenge.  Finding value for money is also quite difficult!

I sometimes wonder whether prices seem to go up around this time of year or am I just being skeptical!

Anyway, have put together a bit of a shop if you are interest in seeing what I have found for my son and numerous nephews and nieces.
